How to Read the Discard Pile
The discard pile is the only public history. You do not need a notebook. Track two things: thrown suits and thrown face cards. That is enough to stop gifting a show.

The latest open card is the live choice. The buried cards are the story of who gave up which suit.
Combine with picks
A player who picks 7 of diamonds and later throws 2 of diamonds may still want 6-8 of diamonds. Do not gift those.
