A failed add-cash often still holds a debit for a few minutes. A second tap creates two holds. Wait for the SMS or the wallet line before you retry.
What failed means
The lobby said no, or the UPI app said no. Either way, the bank may still have a hold. Opening a new add-cash is how people double-pay.
