Indian Rummy Rules for Beginners
Beginners lose rupees on rules, not on luck. Learn the valid groups, then sit the smallest Points table. This page is the rule sheet, not an APK download essay.
What counts as a group
A sequence is consecutive cards of one suit. A set is three or four of the same rank in different suits. All 13 cards must sit in groups when you declare.
Jokers are not a free pass
Printed jokers and the wild joker fill impure sequences and sets. They never sit inside a pure sequence. Using a joker too early is how a 60-point dump happens.
Drop before you drown
A bad open: first drop. After you have picked once: middle drop. Both beat an 80-point wrong show. Full numbers sit on first drop and middle drop.
