First Drop and Middle Drop

A drop is leaving the hand on purpose. First drop is before you have picked. Middle drop is after. Both exist to cap the bill. A wrong declare still costs more.

First dropBefore any pick. Smaller penalty.
Middle dropAfter you have drawn once.
Wrong showUsually the worst number on the table.

Points tables

First drop is often 20 points times the rupee value. Middle drop is often 40. A full dump caps around 80. Read the table sticker before you sit.

Pool 101 and 201

Drop still adds to your stack. Cross the limit and the seat is out. A late drop on 201 can finish you. Sit 101 first — 101 pool rummy rules.

Deals

Some best-of-2 or best-of-3 deals block a drop. If the lobby says no drop, you play the hand. Check before you buy in.
