Two Sequences Rule in Rummy

Indian rummy will not accept a show of only sets. You need at least two sequences. One of those two must be pure. That is the whole gate.

MinimumTwo sequences.
PureAt least one.
SetsOnly after the two runs exist.

Why sets are not enough

Four of a kind looks strong. Without two runs the declare fails. Beginners lose 80 on this exact layout.

Second sequence can be impure

Joker in the second run is legal. The first run stays clean. See impure sequence and joker.

Third group can be anything valid

Extra sequence or sets to park the remaining cards. No leftovers.
