Keep or Throw Face Cards

Face cards are either a high-run seed or a 10-point problem. The rule is simple: two-card same-suit connector — keep. Singleton — throw. Open-pile stray — do not pick.

KeepQ-K same suit, or two of a rank for a set.
ThrowLone J/Q/K/A.
SkipPicking a lone king from open.

Set seed vs run seed

Two kings different suits can wait a turn for a third. Two kings same suit cannot set. Throw one same-suit duplicate.

Ace special

Needs A-2-3 or Q-K-A. If neither path is on the tray, ace is a 10 to throw. Ace rules.

Late hand

If someone is picking fast from open, throw face cards even if you 'almost' have the set. Almost still dumps 10.
