Sequence Same Suit Rule
Consecutive is not enough. The cards must share one suit. 6-7-8 of mixed suits is not a sequence. It is also not a set unless the ranks match.
Sort by suit first
Hearts together, spades together. Runs appear. Sorting by rank first hides runs and shows fake sets.
Two decks
You can hold 6-7-8 of hearts even if another 7 of hearts exists in another hand. You cannot call 7 hearts + 7 hearts + 7 spades a set.
Joker does not change the suit story
The joker stands for a missing rank in that suit for an impure run. It does not turn mixed suits into a sequence. Pure sequence.
